Ive had some weird issues with ecuflash defs before and this seemed to fix it. After update of EcuFlash everything works ok. Thanks

Some weird issues can be caused by the built in definition editor/creator. It saves definitions in the Appdata VirtualStore folders, which overrides the normal metadata location.

andya finished the defs for version 3.6.5, I just posted up his work. The new defs should have full functionality, but please treat them as somewhat experimental for the time being. If you see any tables that don't look right, post it up and I'm sure andya or myself will be able to make any necessary corrections.

Just posted another update for all the metric guys. Thanks again andya Update: Uploaded new definitions that andya created with metric definitions included in them. Any table with the (M) suffix will show metric values.

Is Metric definitions available for romraider to? Or is it easy to just edit the xml file to show metric?

All the <scaling> need to be changed to the metric equivalent. This is easier in the EcuFlash BASE def than in RR.

The work you have done is awesome thank you so much sharing this in here.
I have a litle "problem" if whe can call it like that.
I do live in france and here whe use not psi or fahrenheit is there any def in ecuflash or Romraider with metric values ? ( bar and celsious)
Still one other question , i do have deleted my tgv on both my cars but i still see the CEL on my board and there no option so i can take this off, like there is on the OEM one,...
Thank for any help .
Best Regards!

I think it is something wrong with the ecuflash metric definitions. When saving a rom with the metric definition. And then open the rom with the standard definition again. The values is all wrong. For example the boost values is not correct.

Hi, tuning CB on STI03 JDM, idle works perfectly after some VE adjustments, cruising in CL too, but cranking is very hard. My previous MAF map is not far from the CB one, speaking of cranking tables, but values are in Celcius, while CB defs are in Fahrenheit. So considering values are quite the same between maps, I wonder if bad scale or unit is not the pb ? comparisons for 10°C=50°F and 40°C=104°F : Cranking Fuel Injector Pulse Width A (ECT) 10°C MAF based : 20ms 50°F CarBerry : 20ms 40°C MAF based : 8ms 104°F CarBerry : 8ms => values are ok, but now with bad units : 10°C MAF based : 20ms 10°F CarBerry ~= 50ms 40°C MAF based : 8ms 40°F CarBerry ~= 25ms =>This time we have a huge difference... I dont know what final value the car "see" .. Unsigned Int16 ok, but where the ref unit is defined ? is it here ? Code: <scaling name="%" units="%" toexpr="(x*.591715976)-75.29411712" frexpr="(x+75.29411712)/.591715976" format="%.1f" min="0.4" max="40.7" inc=".3" storagetype="uint8" endian="big" /> <scaling name="%1" units="%" toexpr="x*.591715976" frexpr="x/.591715976" format="%.1f" min="11.8" max="101.8" inc=".3" storagetype="uint8" endian="big" /> <scaling name="%2" units="%" toexpr="x*.00229800533137237" frexpr="x/.00229800533137237" format="%.1f" min="0" max="108.4" inc=".3" storagetype="uint16" endian="big" />
I'm not familiar with that kind of stuff

The metric section is set up as equivalence reference tables. If you need to edit with this section, I will have to write a dedicated Carberry Metric XML definition. It will be a few weeks before I can get started so please edit with the standard units and use the metric tables as units reference.

Hi can someone help,
I have ecuflash 1.29 but the carberry rom displays all wrong. If I use 1.31 everything appears ok, but I cant flash with 1.31 only 1.29
Any ideas apart from getting a proper opensource 1.3u cable.
Regards
Colin.

Colin. Hi Colin, Have you been able to flash other ROMs to the ECU? What cable are you running?

I have been able to flash other roms 2 my ecu, it appears the ecu defs are displaying differently in the 2 different version. When using 1.29 I can read and write ecu.
But I stopped at the carberry rom as it didnt look right and some of the tables either appeared missing or the layout was wrong.
Regards
Colin.

Why can't you use the later versions to flash? I'm using 1.43 What cable do you have?
