Just a bit of my input here. I tuned my wrx on stock injectors with the stock airbox and everything, only slight adjustment to the MAF scale was needed as I increased the boost. I installed ID1000s about 3months later and I found that 1035cc/min with very slight adjustment to the provided latencys put me closest to my original AFRs.

heya mate.
Same rule applies, if the 1600cc rating comes from testing with gasolene and not the calibrated testing fluid used by Subaru, then it will be out approx 15%.
So 1600cc measured with gasolene is more like 1360cc in RomRaider.

Old thread i know, but just wanted to add my input here.
I did the parallel fuel mod so i figured that bumped my fuel pressure slightly, so i took the injector scaling from 45psi off the ID site instead of the stock pressure of 43.5
With some slight adjustment to my SD fueling (running carberry) i was able to get my trims perfectly in line. But even without the adjustment, the car was driveable. I used the latencies as provided by ID.
I previously tried running NSFW's settings and the car ran fine but when i switched to ID's settings, it ran even better. To me it was just logical to trust ID since they put so much effort into their testing and matching of injectors, i didnt think it would be prudent to guess at the values when they are giving me empirical evidence as to how the injectors perform.
What i find baffling is that others have gotten better results with different values than what ID gives. I have a friend now who seems to be having an issue with the values as provided by ID on his maf tune. We are going to try different values and work from there but its a bit puzzling that ID's values dont work. Is it maybe an SD vs MAF thing?

Is it maybe an SD vs MAF thing? normally u leave either intake stock, and tune the big injector 1st... or u use stock injector, and tune the big intake.... if u install both intake and injector and tune it at the same time, it will be a hard time

Romraider wrote: So what settings is everyone using. 850 or 1035? 880 here - stock fuel pressure and parallel perrin rails. I've got latencies slightly lower than ID values (~0.94 @ 14v) and tip in left stock for STi pink 550 injectors. I did initially reduce tip in based on injector scalar increase, but that lead to lean on initial tip-in followed by a see-saw rich/lean swing. Stock tip in is close to perfect for me, though YMMV and is affected by latency settings too.

wrxsti-l wrote: ®@©E® wrote: lol, what issues? Numerous fueling issues will arrise if incorrect latencies and MAF scaling are used. The most common are sporadic lean outs under light throttle cruise, hard cold start, and unexplainable peaks and/or dips in your AFR. ®@©E® wrote: 850? Where did you get that number? Several sets of the ID1000's were independantly tested and were shown to have a flow of between 850cc and 890cc using industry standard testing fluids. Leslie This is exactly what happens all together to me right now, lean afr while cruise, stumbling while cold start. 880 seems to high for my setup. What for latencys do you have with the ID1000 Leslie?
