2006 forester X (2.5NA) engine swap into a replica Porsche.

This may be understandable for some, but sadly not by me. I'm confused on the Radiator Fan Modes tables
What does M0 (max -), M1 min, M0 (max +) , ect all mean. The Cooling fans are wired up to run in the series/parallel like OE, but since the radiator isn't in the normal location. I would like to lower the temperatures and when the fans come on when cruising.

Thank You for any help

First factory lowest value is Fan1's turn off point, 2nd value is the Fan2/AC fan off point.
3rd value is Fan1 On point
4th value is Fan2/AC On point

So say 200, 205, 210, 215

Fan 1 would come on at 210 and remain on til temp drops below 200
Fan2 would come on at 215 and remain on til temp drops below 205

If AC is on, then Fan2 will be on permanently
You then have the road speed compensations etc

I believe it should be marked as output 1 on/output 1 off/Output 2 on/ Output 2 off, instead M0 max(-)/M1 min/M0 max(+)/M1 max|M2 min. and what's the difference between M0 max (-) and M0 max (+) :?

Also on a 2006 Forester at least, when you turn on the AC the Low speed is the primary setting, until the AC pressure ("Middle pressure") gets to a certain point where the ECU will turn the fans onto high (Basically changes the fan wiring from series (low) to parallel (high))

and thinking of the speed compensations that's in it's own world of confusing for me :( So from above M0 would be fan 1 (low) and M1 would be fan 2 (High) okay. Max is when it turns on, Min is when it turns off, now what is the + and - signs about (same with the above fan control) now add in M2 and M3? and even the Dec ? :?

M0 max(-)|M1 min(-) 6
M0 max(+)|M1 min(+)|M1 max(-) 12
M1 min(-) 40
M1 max|M2 min 43
M2 max(-)|M3 dec(-) 80
M2 max(+)|M3 min 84

Sorry i'm just trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. I know 99.9% of the people that are using romraider or ECUflash are looking for performance minded changes. and sadly i'm in the last 00.1% that's interested in getting these engines to run in something other then a OEM application :)

Thank you for all your help, and anyone else that wants to chime in

Wow two years later i'm bring this thread up again. But instead of starting another thread on the same topic....

Does anyone have a good insight as to how the speed compensation aspect of the cooling fans work. I'm thinking of just lowering the parameters so the fans turn on sooner, specially to the high speed since the cooling at lower speeds seem marginal at times, specially with the most current setup.

Also would be awesome if one can add Fan 3 (M2) into the mix on a car not so equipped, Since i'm running a booster coolant pump as while.

Thank you
