 Post subject: Taken back to board index after logging in

If I browse to any point within the forum and then log in it always takes me back to the board index page rather than the page I was just on.
This is most annoying when clicking reply and then getting prompted to log in only to be taken back to the board index page again.

I've tested on dozen's of workstations, IE, Firefox and Chrome and the same behavior occurs across the board.
