Any way to get learning view save the files in the working folder rather than the folder the .exe is in?
I launch it from a shortcut with the start in folder set but it still stores data in the folder where the exe is.

Hello, I'm new to all this but I've read through the entire post and the only thing I can see to try is to move the Learning View Folder to the desktop. I will do that when I get my car back later. In summary: I’ve got Microsoft .net Framework 4 installed Tactrix 2.0 (I know it works as I log using RomRaider) All other software off Car to On (but not with engine running) ECU supported (see error log for details) I then tried v0.6 and got the ”ECU not currently supported” error. Have I not seen a fix, being a noob muppet? Many thanks, Scott

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have put some work into the user definitions functionality for LV (and bug fixes), but still have a lot left to finished and there hasn't been a lot of time as of late to work on it. No ETA at this time, but I'm going to try to work as I can. Thank you for your patience.
Bill Any updates bill?

This is a command that settings a start address and asks the ECU to send back X number of bytes from the start address. Yours did not respond which is odd. Try this: - open the RomRaider EcuEditor
- under the SSM menu Launch Test App
- with the command set to Init press Send, you should get a ECU init sequence of bytes. If not the ECU did not respond (figure out why and fix until this step is successful)
- set command to Read
- set Address to 0CDF68 (the first digit is a zero)
- set Read length to 16
- press Send command
Can you provide the response from the Trace window? (Ctrl-a to select all, Ctrl-c to copy the response)

Hi all,
I have not made much progress on updating LV - just never seems like there's enough time. I may just have to set aside small chunk of time per day (even if it is only 10 minutes) and just get it done that way. One way or another I will at least have this final release finished at some point. It is good to see that similar functionality has been added to RomRaider. It may be that most users end up going with that, but, regardless, I will at least finish the last round of changes for LV since I promised to do so.

The result is 1.3, 1.64, 2.0, 5.0 The latest RomRaider also has Learning Tables View now. You could try it if you continue to have trouble.

In the two previous Learning View logs you posted (one from version 0.6 and one from version 1.0), it fails to get a response from the ECU for the IAM in one and FLKC load axis in the other. So it appears that it is an intermittent comms issue. I would download the latest version of Ecuflash and re-install (also update the Openport 2.0 firmware via Ecuflash if a new one is available) and then give it a go in Learning View again. If you still have problems, post up the logs and also try logging in RomRaider with the Openport 2.0 for an extended period of time (say for a 10 minute drive) and see if the same thing happens.

Well after much un-installing and re-installing of software and drivers I finally found the reason. The USB ports on the left side of my laptop are 3.0 and that was what I have been using as that side is nearest the OBD-II socket. When, for some reason, I used the right side (which only has USB 2.0) it worked!
Cheers for all your help. All the best, Scott
