If you have trouble, try copying the table into notepad before copying into romraider. Make sure there are no spaces/tabs after [3dtable] on the first row.

Thanks for the tip, I have tried all sorts of ways now including the following:
-paste new table in blanc excel - Shows only "ref ref" where the numbers are ment to be. - Paste in notepad AND wordpad - Can paste in them, but when I copy and paste from there it still wont paste in romraider - I copied the old table from romraider into notepad, modified a few cells and tried to paste. STILL WONT WORK!
I do use the paste function in RR. I do select the whole table. I do not understand why this wont work. I have romraider 5,6. I can manually edit cells and save. I cannot copy a table into notepad or word, modify any cells and copy back. Not even the stock romraider table.
I CAN however copy a table into excel, and if I modify it so that (table3d) comes down one line, and the load axis shifts one cell to the right. Then I can successfully modify and paste it into RR. In other words, when I manually modify tables to look exactly like the table I try to copy from the spreadsheet, I can successfully paste them.
However, as I try this, it only works partially, most of the time only the first loadcell is actually modified in RR. Sorry for the long text, but this I cant make any sense of this. Can someone please give me a step by step, just to see that Im not doing something elemtary wrong here?
Thanks.

I only select a single arbitrary cell when pasting into romraider. I don't select an area. If you copy and paste from excel into excel it will try to copy the cell contents (equations) not their values (numbers). You could try right clicking and select paste special and tick values to paste from excel to excel. Did you remove the blank spaces/tabs after [Table3D] when you pasted it into notepad from excel? It should be as per below. Code: [Table3D] -40.0 -22.0 -4.0 14.0 32.0 50.0 0.58 1700 1700 1700 1650 1600 1550 0.74 2200 2200 2200 2150 2100 2050 0.96 2450 2450 2450 2400 2350 2300 Have you tried on another computer?

It looks just like your example, and still wont paste? What is an arbitrary cell? I tried copying single cells, rows, rows with load data, load with rpm data, still nothing.. Im about to give up. It takes about 30min to type everything manually. .. I have spent probably 10 trying to fix this. Guess it just does not work. This is my only computer, so thats not really an option. I have windows 7 and the excel starter program. I tried open office, but that did not work at all, did not even calculate.. I used the paste special as well, that did not help Thanks for the help, and if anyone has had this problem, please let me know how you fixed it!

It might be best that you ask the question in a more general area. This issue doesn't seem like it is specific to carberry to me. Maybe not actually an issue with RomRaider?

EDIT: I downloaded a microsoft office, and had success. Once. Then it stopped working again. This is such a pain in the **.
After reinstalling everything, and explored every solution above, I actually gave up. I then found a way to copy and paste with ecuedit that was actually quite easy (just copy table without the load/rpm cells and paste).
So for some reason this wont work for me. Latest RR release, US regional settings. No need for further support, just wanted to let anyone with future problems know.

I have a couple questions about using Max's spreadsheet tool and tuning the VE Table for OL and CL.
The CL portion of my VE Table is close. I want to get the OL portion of the table fixed up, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to do so yet.
Max's spreadsheet makes changes to both OL and CL portions of the table. Is it ok to have it adjust both?
If I filter for OL and run the spreadsheet and compare it to when I run the spreadsheet with just CL data, where the two portions of the table crisscross, I get some conflicting changes.
For instance, at 4k and 8.9map, CL wants to make a 1% change and OL wants to make a -2.11% change.
Is this not something I should be concerned with.
This tool is great because it lets me compare % changes and number of occurances that the ECU had to make corrections between different maps. So I can see if the tool is increasing the cell during one revision and then decreasing it during another revision.
One last question. For tuning for CL, can I drive like normal or do I have to drive very smoothly? I've heard arguments for both.
Thanks!

Thanks! Do not paste any filtered or sorted data in spreadsheet, all calculations are based on log records order to avoid reading AFR at lifting. If you need to keep CL cells untouched use throttle filters in spreadsheet or use Corrections Level % table

I've started using this for my EJ205 and another hybrid motor, and it is very easy to use. Thank you for your time. This is the only SD fueling spreadsheet I am using right now. I still like to use a WOT sorting spreadsheet sometimes, takes all the gear pulls out of the log and sorts them out.

First - thank you for this wonderful tool! It really has enabled me to get to areas of my VE table that would otherwise be very time consuming..... since my MAF is not setup 100%. I do have one question - I was able to add MAP rows up to 36 and RPM columns to 6300. Is there any way to get them up to 44 MAP and 7300 RPM without adding code/formulas? I'm not that great with the inner workings of Excel. But, once created I can seem to be able to figure them out. One other question - Cobb's VE table is just a VE table. Logging the OL/CL switch gives an 'on' and 'off' vs. an '8' and '10'. I deleted that row, and replaced it and saw no difference in revised table results. I guess I'm more curious than anything, but I also want to make sure I'm not missing something. Is the OL/CL info needed for the open source, not Cobb, or am I missing something?Same goes for the throttle position min/max throttle. Changing them does nothing to the data. I don't know how open source works but I believe in the Cobb world there is one VE table in speed density and it controls all of fueling. I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty new to electronic tuning. Attachment:

In the mean time I did answer my question. There certainly are changes made by having the proper OL/CL values (8/10) in the data. I spent two hours trying to figure out how to convert a simple 'on' 'off' to '8' '10' in excel. After trying formulas for a majority of the time being the Excel simpleton I am, I finally discovered that I could control F for the word 'on' and 'select all' and replace with '8'. I also discovered that I could simply bump the map over and up to get the cells that don't fit. There is so much to learn.

For anyone else coming along I have some issues with low map/rpm areas. This seems to be due to the fact that there are a lot of times where my TPS% is as high as 13-14 with a AFR in the 18:1 range. This seems to be happening on throttle lift off and deceleration.
My WBO2 gauge doesn't display ratios that lean, but my logger logs them.
Before I discovered this problem I had created a VE map with ultra high VE in the 2-4 map columns due to a lot of data recording 18:1 AFR in the low map/rpm areas.
I still haven't figured out the best way to fix this, but will update when I do.

This is a good tool to get in the ball park, but it does have flaws. I've played with it for hours and it's still reporting wacky numbers. It doesn't filter the off throttle data at all.
Eventually this thing will have you chasing your tale. Unless I've missed something.
Still got me in the ball park in a lot of areas so thanks still due and given.

Just curious how to actually use this spreedsheet or is it only for 32 bit ecu's?
I can't find some of the required tables that want to be logged to be able to use it, or is this just not being developed anymore
