I've been playing with lean spooling for the last 2 week and improved it by 300 rpm, in top gear I was hitting 19psi by 2950 and had to adjust fuelling at 2800rpm 2.50 load because it was never setup to spool so soon.

I hope to post some logs and a map with a lean spool fuelling table in a month or so when I've finish testing.

Patrick can you till me the reason for the higher A/F learning range of 120? Is it to prevent learning from adjusting WOT fuelling?

I look forward to seeing what you did to the spool, please share logs too. What gear are you logging in? :)

The answer to your question is yes. :)

Ok been away from this playing with carberry.
It's hard to compare gears because I'm running a 5mt this may be why it was spooling before the fuel came on at low rpm (2800rpm 2.50 load in 5th), but I can't see that a little bit of a higher ratio in 5th could make that much difference maybe I'm wrong.
I'm in the middle of fitting Methonal injection at the moment to this map so snowed under in the little time I get to work on the car.
As soon as I can I'll do a few logs because I need some good before and after Meth kit logs.

What a great post with excellent revisions, well done to all involved.

I have a ADM 03 STI which I have had for a month now, planing to remove the Unichip piggyback system and see if I can use this as a base and learn going forward.

Hello,

I think you did not add the two tables of advances (based timing and knock adjustment advance) before you paste the values in Carberry, who you let in "MAP based X-Axis" for ignition timing.
Look at the attached file and do not forget to use definitons "load based" for RR or ecuflash
If you want to use the MAP based ignition i dont think you can simply copy/paste the value from the original file

sorry for bad english

Hi Thank you for this, it seems my car's map matches the roms load quite closely, I have looked at previous logs and my MAP and load cells almost lign up but I know its not as easy as that, it was just a starting point.

i lowered the timing alot because we have bad fuel here but it doesnt look like I added the multiplier to the base. I must have coppied the wrong table out of airboys spreadsheet after I was done reducing the timing

The ignition timing definitely needs to be detuned see the screenshot attached but it is a good place to start.

Ok great thanks Patrick, just a heads up guys this rom has adm knock sensor thresholds for factory forged pistons so you will want to use the edm settings if you'rs aren't factory forged

Hi noob, what's your fuel quality like there? What mods do you have? I wouldn't flash this rom if you have no idea what you are doing, what is your level of knowledge when it comes to tuning at this stage?

Hi guys,
I am new in this forum. I saw your thread and it is very interessting for me, because I have a STI with 265hp (2004) and I want to change also some ECU settings. ;-)

I found the updated maps on the first page.

Which hardware changes are necessary for the file (ken lc patched r5 avcs
fix.hex)?
Which power do I have, when I use your file (app.)
I should be a starting point for me. So I will make some measurements after updating the maps.

Thank you for your help.

Marc
