SPREADSHEET: import and graph log files

The colored cells in the base timing page is (or should be) the timing map from your ecu image. The uncolored data below it is not used in any calculation. When I copy a table from RomRaider, I paste it to the area below the colored cells because the header roll will be offset by one column when you paste it into Excel. I then fix the header offset and copy/paste into top-left corner of the sheet, where the colored cells are.

The highlighted cells (double borders) are the cells that are used to calculate/interpolate the timing value to use. They get reset and reapplied when you use the "Interpolate Timing" button on the Timing Interpolate page.

As for the load and rpm headers, use whatever is in your ecu image. over-write what is in the spreadsheet and delete the extra columns/rows if there are any.

OK, I sort of understand that. I'm not super experienced in excel, so I think that may be holding me back. The logs I made were done with ecuexplorer. I was having trouble with RomRaider for some reason. Anyway, I'm not 100% sure I logged the right parameters to begin with, which may be part of the problem. Any chance I could post this log for you to look at? That would be a great help to know if I'm trying to understand something that is even understandable.

it also shows you which cells and load sites the car is using (the black boxes are the cells that the car touched or used values from based on the log).

any tips for open office users? None of the buttons work, so it won't graph any of the data :-/

Sorry but Open Office will not work with the macros in this spreadsheet. MS uses Visual Basic for Applications in Excel and Open Office uses something else.

Sunny -- is there any chance you can add those nifty up/down buttons on the timing advance and fuel table sheets?

Or maybe at the very least show me how to add them myself? My macro skills are pretty shoddy, lol. :lol:

Your log data is no good, that's what's wrong.

Your rpm data isn't a nice constant rise like it would be in a WOT run and thus the graph will go all over the place.

The spreadsheet is mostly intended to work with 100% throttle logs; it will then filter out the data with a TPS < 100%.
