I’ve done some moderate searching off and on for the ms42 funktionsrahmen in any form, pdf, txt, anything and I haven’t come up with any links or downloads. Would someone mind sharing it with me? I had no success opening mine in RR

I had no success opening mine in RR There is a TunerPro software definition section on ms4x.net with s/w 66 XDF. https://www.ms4x.net/index.php?title=Definition_FilesI am unsure how correct / complete it actually is though. If you want to add s/w 66 into your own RR definition file using the information from the TunerPro software XDF, it isn’t too difficult.

I did already went through all the things on that website md was successfull opening it with that XDF.
but that format is giving me headaches to find tables...
not sure how to make my own def file though.
In TunerPro software I did find many things related to ignition, vanos, fueling for cruise and WOT but nothing similar to ms41 and its acceleration/deceleration. is that normal ? does it exist on ms43 ?
I ask because the issue I'm trying to solve on a relative's car seems to come from transcient regimes (slight acceleration and slight decel, and around idle)

I’ve not messed with any ms43 vehicles aside from just diagnosing issues with INPA.

The format is actually pretty easy to read once you are a little bit used to it.
We tried to merge the important softwareversions like 56,66 and 69 into one XML, but it was too big for Romraider and the program was unbelievably slow.
The problem with the RomRaider definitions is that it lacks many crucial constants and maps, like VO tables to name one. And more important a feature to perform a complete compare between two binaries.
Also patches can only be made to ongoing hex locations, lets say from 0x5678 to 0x5FFF and not 0x5678 - 0x56FF and 0x5F00 - 0x5FFF. Thats a pity for many patch function we already created in TunerPro software because it interferes with code segments in between.

i'll try to learn how to decrypt these tables' names.
Anyway, is there a chance that you post a RR def with only the 66 inside ? as I may understand that it has been done in conjunction with other version.

No luck opening V37 files? I have a tuned V37 for turbo file I want to take a look at and in TunerPro software the maf limits seemed to be the same as stock so I wanted to confirm with romraider but I get an error that no ecu definition found. V56 and 66 open just fine

Because there is no definition released out there which works fine over all, for public.
If TunerPro software shows you standard values they are standard ... no need for looking in RR for.

I may have found an issue. The RPM values for "Idle speed drive engaged" are wrong. The definition/storage address is correct when comparing it to a TunerPro software XDF so I'm not sure where the issue lies but I thought it would be wort mentioning
