I'm not sure if during installation your environment settings (like PATH, CLASSPATH) might change to default to new Java installation, you can check if during installation it's possible to opt out of that. You can change those back after installation though. In the run.bat then you can add the environment variables to use the new Java.

I have a quick and probably dumb question

A/F Correction #1 (%) & AF Learning 1 are closed loop short term and long-term fueling corrections in closed loop, right?

But what would the right parameters be in open loop?

I only ask this because the tool accept fuel trims in both Open Loop and Closed Loop....

correction are applied in closed and open loop, take a look at usage tabs in CL and OL or howto on github on calculations done by the tool

Well, neither do I :) What file are you trying to load? The 'Load' button allows you to load file with saved data which you had saved before with 'Save' button. Now, if you try to load anything else you get an error.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Carberry tables, perhaps someone else could chime in. Also you question is vague, what do you mean by 'is this'? There are different tabs (sub-tools) in this tool, I'm sure say log viewer would work for you

Would someone either link me to a post or help me to understand how one uses the Closed Loop tool? I come from miata community where some of our terminology differs. A few questions, if one would..

1: What is the purpose of including the POL Fueling table? If one is to lock their car into closed loop should the CL Fueling table be used in place of Primary Open Loop?
2: What is the meaning of Stock AFR within the 'Columns / Filter Settings' menu? Is this desired AFR / eq?

I suppose my biggest hurdle at this point is that when clicking 'Go', nothing happens. Attached is the log.

1. It's optional, POL table X/Y-Axis are used to display "AFR Average" and "AFR Cell Hit Count" tables which serve only informational purpose. You would just get a warning that those tables would not be generated. This info is on the Usage tab, was missing on the GitHub web, so I've added it.
2. Stock AFR - another words not Wideband O2.

If nothing is displayed that's usually some data or columns mapping or settings related issue. You could try to open maf_scaling.log to check for errors.

Your log file. I'm not sure I've properly mapped your columns - you should know the meaning of those columns better, particularly mapping to AFR (is it MAF, O2S12_FT?) and Closed/Open loop status (is it FUELSYS?) with value which would mean closed loop (is it 2)?

Anyways, using my MAF tables and arbitrary settings the data is calculated.

I can't get MAF Scaling and RomRaider to work on the same PC.

As soon as I install JDK for MAF Scaling, RomRaider including the DimeMod version says I don't have 32-bit JRE anymore because the JDK install jacked the Path I guess.
Oh maybe if I change the %PATH% variable to force it to 32bit JRE, then edit the run.bat for MAF Scaling to go directly to JDK instead of using %PATH%.

Meanwhile, on my other PC, RR would launch but say it had reduced capabilities without 32bit JRE even though I have it installed.
So I guess some versions of RR can run on 64bit with reduced functionality but other versions just won't run at all with 64-bit?

Basically I've gone round and round with all versions of Java and JDK on 2 different PCs and no matter what, I can only get MAF Scaling to work on one and RR on the other, so I end up using both PCs to update my tune, but then the copy & pasting of RR tables doesn't work thru the RDP clipboard for some reason.

Man, Java is such a PAIN.

I never did understand why Subaru calls the table Primary Open Loop when it's only used in closed loop, like by the very definition of closed loop.
There is no "CL Fueling Table".

Regarding your 2nd question, Stock AFR means your built in AFR sensor readings. When tuning Open Loop, you will need a Wideband AFR as well, which is why they put "stock" to differentiate.

Primary Open Loop table is only used in Open Loop.
In mafscaling, as Wiki for this app Closed Loop states - Open loop fueling table X/Y-Axis are used to display "AFR Average" and "AFR Cell Hit Count" tables which serve only informational purpose. Basically it means that the scaling, and only scaling, is used, as reference, for the AFR tables generated in Closed Loop tab instead of creating some different alternative its own scales.

Wideband O2 is nice to have, but not required. If one doesn't have a wideband just use the stock O2. But yes, "stock" is used for clarification for those who have both.
