Yeah he's fine, was just a bit sore. He was only going about 30mph and some asshat was driving way too fast in the ice. Came up over a curb and turned right into him. Bumper beam/front part of the frame went through the timing belt cover!

Damn.

Interesting choice in going from a WRX to CTS-V.

LOL! That's what I thought! I guess he decided that he's getting "old" and needs a more comfy ride. I suppose the kid may have slightly impacted his decision, but who knows. He'll probably kick my ass for the old comment :)

I think those running the image on a JDM STi ECUs (ckkibue comes to mind) do not get the MIL. ckkibue uses it on a stage rally car, maybe he will chime in to confirm the lack of MIL.

I have flashed this on my 00 JDM WRX(w/sti ej207 and ecu) and got the CEL after i first flashed it. once the car came up to temp i shut the car off and restarted it, havent had the cel come back since

No the 03 ecu wouldn't help me as I have an 04 and there are a few slight changes you need to make to swap the ecu's. I don't want to make those changes.

What changes are neccesary? I ran an 02 ECU in my 04 WRX for a year and a half w/o any issues.

There you go Elevenpoint7.... Just what you have been waiting on SPEED DENSITY.......

Lance Lucas, did you have to do any changes as far as wiring to run the 02 ecu in the 04 or was it plug and play?

No I did not. My 04 has an extra sensor in the fuel tank (temp or pressure, can't remember) that the 02 ECU doesn't know about and ignores, but that's about it. Took it like that through Oregon emissions (OBD-II scan) as well.

This was before definitions for Dwell were available. Being that I was using an 02 ECU in an 04, the only downside to this was possibly not enough Dwell as the 04+ packs use much more from the factory. Regardless, I had no ignition or misfiring issues.

Not sure if it's relevant, but I did not have TGV's, EGT sensor, evap purge solenoid or PCV. I suppose if the wiring relates to those items, some work may be required.

Can someone host this file somewhere else I wouldn't mind downloading it?

Anyone willing to host, I have the file with me and will upload, just don't have my own site to upload to right now and rapidshare hit it's 10 downloads limit.

HAHA! Care to possibly donate an ecu for testing? Lol! Anything left I can think to try would possibly brick the ecu. :(

I have two spare 16bit ecus I will donate one. Both are partially borked apparently, one does not have fan conrol and the other does not have boost control. I did flash the fan control one, I did not notice any other issues. (replaced ecu in this swapped car and the fans were back). The other was givrn to me with no explination other than lack of boost control.

Give me an address and I will mail it to you. Sorry I missed this earlier!

Josh
